Allergy Friendly
Food allergies are considered an abnormal immune response to food. Reasons remain unclear, but the body attacks a protein in food. When you eat that offensive protein again, the body uses the IgE antibodies it had developed the first time, therefore causing an allergic reaction. Eight foods have been determined as the most prevalent allergies including: egg, fish, milk, peanut, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, wheat. We aim to avoid as many of these as we can, to make Str’eat Cred meals allergy-friendly. Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist has managed multiple food allergies and looks forward to being a resource for those of you who are seeking guidance in living with food allergies.
